Best Practices for Mapping and Documenting Business Processes
Andrew Ibbotson, Synthis Corporation

Register by Noon Monday, February 13th, 2006

Even though it is widely understood that process excellence is key to a company's success, most companies continue to struggle to effectively define and control their business processes.

This session will examine industry best practices for designing flexible process documentation and will demonstrate what industry leaders are doing to comply with a growing number of process-based government regulations and industry standards, enable ongoing process improvement, and gain a competitive advantage.  ** Free Process Modeler software  ** for all dinner meeting attendees.

Attendees will learn to:

  • Efficiently define and visually document an organization’s business processes
  • Effectively share business process knowledge via easy-to-navigate visual process models

In addition, our speaker has graciously agreed to provide free copies of his company's Process Modeler software to all attendees. This product is a flowchart-based documentation tool that makes it easy for business and operations people to visually map and document their business processes.

Andrew Ibbotson is president and co-founder of Synthis Corporation.  Synthis is the first software company to provide a process-focused knowledge management solution for the enterprise compliance and process improvement marketplace.  Prior to Synthis, Andrew gained process improvement and supply chain expertise at Manhattan Associates and Accenture's Global Supply Chain Strategy Practice.  Andrew holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Tech Business Network.  He is an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and trained ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor.
