Chair's Corner
(This is a new column which will appear in each future newsletter. This column will be written by a different board officer or committee chairperson each month. This month begins the column with Larry Aft, Board Chair.)
Another year is upon us. I am delighted to be able to serve as your section chair once again. We have an interesting year coming up. Our new program chair, Doug Long, has put together an outstanding set of programs. I am most excited about our February meeting in which we will host Mr. Forrest Breyfogle as he presents his ideas on Integrating Enterprise Excellence. And as a special event for the section, we are cooperating with the Institute of Industrial Engineers to present a one day version of this program on the Friday following our February meeting. While I am promoting upcoming events I want to promote our September meeting. A perennial favorite, Craig Cochran, will be our dinner speaker. Make sure you sign up for what will be a stimulating presentation.
As the months go by you will see this column written by some of your other board members. Since this is my fourth time as your chair, I want to give your other leaders the opportunity of sharing their thoughts with you.
