In her presentation titled "Requirements and Quality Assurance Testing," Karyn Volk, Senior Consultant with Orasi Software, introduces the importance of good Requirements and how you, as a Quality Assurance Tester, can improve the success of your project by helping to clarify the requirements that you are given.

For over twenty years, Karyn has participated in the full Software Development Lifecycle in the Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Telecommunications, and Airline Industries. She is co-author of the one day course "Leveraging Requirements Using HP QualityCenter."

Karyn has a Bachelor of Science in Management Science, concentrating in Operations Research (Process Optimization) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is on the Board of Directors for AQAA (Atlanta Quality Assurance Association) and is an active member of the Atlanta chapter of the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis). Karyn lives in Paulding County, Georgia with her husband, 2 kids, 3 dogs and 2 parrots.

Ballot for Officer Election
The AQAA will be holding the annual election for the Board of Directors at the meeting on November 11, 2008. A ballot will be distributed at the meeting. Self-nominations will be accepted beginning at the October meeting. Please send nominations to info@aqaa.org
